Prior to May’s second career as an entrepreneur, she enjoyed a 24-year career at Morgan Stanley spanning two continents in nine different business roles, most recently Chief Operating Officer for Europe.
She chaired the firm’s European Diversity Council, was a member of Morgan Stanley’s European Management Committee, and a Board Member of the Firm’s regulated UK broker dealer. Prior to that, May spent most of her career in client facing roles, advising senior clients at major corporations in North America, Europe and the UK, and managing teams with client responsibility.

At Arizona State University (ASU), May is Senior Advisor and Executive in Residence in the Office of the President, and Professor of Practice at W. P. Carey School of Business. ASU is the largest US public research university, and pioneer of the New American University model for higher education.
She speaks on leadership and career development, and works on interdisciplinary initiatives across the University with an emphasis on leadership, innovation and enhancing the engagement between business and academia.
May chairs The Idea Enterprise, a program for bringing experienced business leaders to ASU to turn its best ideas into forces for change in the world. In addition, she is co-designing a Leadership Academy for faculty and staff at the University.
In addition to her work with major corporations and professional services firms, May has lectured at Imperial College Business School, Cass Business School, Stanford University, Harvard University, and ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
May graduated with a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a graduate of The Meyler Campbell Business Coach Programme. May is married with three children.
